So, what is Colorado Gives Day?
Colorado Gives Day, hosted by Community First Foundation and FirstBank partner has grown to be Colorado’s largest 24-hour giving event. Since it began in 2010, it has raised more than $362 million for Colorado causes. Each December, Coloradans come together with the common goal to strengthen the community by helping to power nonprofits. Among them, the Kempe Foundation takes part in the event as well.
When is it happening?
There are two key dates for Colorado Gives day:
- November 1: Early Giving begins
- November 28: Giving Tuesday or National Giving Day
- December 5: Colorado Gives Day
Early giving is a chance for donors to give before the big day. December 5th is the official start of Colorado Gives Day. If you are interested in making a fundraising page for the Kempe Foundation, you can start that process as early as now!
What is a fundraising page?
Think of Colorado Gives Day fundraising pages as creating your own personal page for friends and family to donate to an organization of your choice. If you choose, you can build one that funnels directly to the Kempe Foundation.
We have set up a fundraising page template for you, so it’s as easy as pressing two buttons to get yours set up! Send your fundraising page to family and friends to get their donations for the Kempe Foundation.
How to set up your page:

- Click on the “Fundraise” button
- Log in or sign up for a Colorado Gives account
- Click “Get Started”
- Ensure the “Use template provided by organization” checkbox is checked
- Click “Build your fundraiser”
- Personalize the fundraiser if you wish
- Click publish! You’re all set. Send the page link to your friends and family.
