How does giving through the Kempe Society look like?
There are many ways to participate in legacy giving. Here are some of the options:
- Annual Giving: Donate cash, annuities, stocks, and other securities
- Beneficiary Designations: Allows freedom to transfer assets directly
- Endowment Gifts: Give to an already established endowment that supports a specific program at Kempe or launch a new endowment
- IRA Rollovers: Transfer funds directly while saving on taxes
- Real Estate: Make a gift through property you own. We can assist you with the logistics in the sale of the property.
- Wills and Living Trusts: A simple, flexible option to support our work through a gift in your will or living trust
What will you support with this giving?
The Kempe Foundation believes that every child should have the opportunity to grow in a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment and seek to achieve that belief through these three primary activities:
You’ll be supporting experts. We work alongside the Kempe Center, a leader in the prevention of childhood trauma and providing treatments and services to those who have been subjected child abuse and neglect, to provide opportunities for all children to live safe and healthy lives
You’ll help us engage with communities. We partner with a network of caring community members who are committed to supporting professionals in the field of child abuse, neglect, and trauma prevention
You’ll be advocating for children. We’ve assembled a team of experts, legislators, and advocates to advance policies that improve the lives of children and families in Colorado.
Hear from a member of the Kempe Society!
Jon Kruljac and his wife, Teri Kruljac are both in the Kempe Society. Here’s what they had to say about the program.
“We are pleased to be able to include The Kempe Foundation in our estate plans and assist in creating sustainability in support of the critical work by Kempe Center professionals. We hope that our legacy gift will inspire others to include Kempe in their estate plans and help reach more children and families in need.”
